Chevrolet always does something special with its Corvette. Releasing it every year brings endless happiness to anyone who loves a good sports car. The E-Ray is a very special release by Chevrolet and was recently used to raise money for charity. On April 15th, the E-Ray helped to raise over $1.1 million for a charity called DonorsChoose.
Why the 2024 E-Ray is Special
The list of E-Ray accomplishments is already memorable, but it's always fun to go back over them for our customers. This model's 655 combined horsepower delivers a potent 2.5 second 0 to 60 mph time and is one of the most unforgettable sports car rides in history. And it does so with an incredible array of electric powertrain technology. The elegant design of the model is also worth looking at. This one sits low, wide, and aggressive. Chevrolet generously decorated the R-Ray in body-color elements so that everything looks more premium.
DonorsChoose is a charity that does a whole lot of good in the world, too. They help bring much-needed classroom items to schools that are struggling right now. With so many changes in the world in the last few years, we need charities like this to ensure children continue receiving the education they deserve. Chevrolet thought DonorsChoose was a great charity, too. That's why they went to Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach on April 15th.
The charity auction was an incredible success for both Chevy, the E-Ray, and DonorsChoose. Chevrolet donated an E-Ray to this auction, and one lucky person got the winning bid. Rick Hendrick, a CEO, cast the winning bid and gave Chevy and DonorsChoose a whole lot to smile about this year. The money goes to a great cause, Rick gets an E-Ray, and Chevrolet goes home knowing that it did well for the world.
A Chevrolet chief marketing officer took the time to comment on the resounding success. "General Motors and Chevrolet are proud to join DonorsChoose on its mission of combatting inequality in school funding by providing underserved communities with the resources needed for a quality education." Chevy is proud that the E-Ray played a part in furthering this cause.
