1-of-1 2026 Corvette ZR1X Raises $2.6 Million for America's Heroes

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation received a significant boost following the sale of a 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X at the 2026 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction for $2.6 million. The organization uses these funds to provide mortgage-free homes to the families of fallen first responders and Gold Star families.

The Corvette ZR1X is 1-of-1

Chevrolet developed this 1-of-1 ZR1X to honor service members and first responders. As the quickest production car in the U.S., the ZR1X was built to make a difference, with the proceeds of its sale going directly to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Global Chevrolet leadership stated that they are proud to support veterans and their families through this unique vehicle.

The car was won by Rick Hendrick, chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group. It features a Stars & Steel design that was hand-painted at the General Motors Design Fabrication shop, along with blue calipers and blue trim highlights. The ZR1X is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that ensures elite performance.

Frank Siller, CEO of Tunnel to Towers, stated that General Motors and Chevrolet have long been supporters of the foundation's mission. This latest contribution will help ensure that catastrophically injured veterans and the families of fallen heroes receive the housing and dignity they deserve.

For 15 years, Chevrolet and Barrett-Jackson have partnered to raise $15.5 million for charitable causes. Craig Jackson, head of Barrett-Jackson, noted that the ZR1X is a truly amazing vehicle that represents a special moment in automotive history.
