Chevrolet Silverado Review for 2014 Model Year

Before we talk about the all-new, completely rebuilt 2014 Chevy Silverado, let's discuss what reviewers said last year. "When it comes to full-size pickups, it's hard to find fault with what Chevrolet has done with its 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500," wrote Kelley Blue Book. "A lengthy list of available features, including 4WD that can be used on dry pavement, makes Silverado a recommended choice for anyone shopping large pickups," said Consumer Guide. To round out the praise found in Chevy Silverado reviews, consider the following from Car and Driver: "(Silverados) are still compelling because of their excellent engines, tasteful styling, and spacious interiors. Configurable in a zillion different ways, one can be made just the way you want it."

So that was last year, but what about this year? Put simply, the Silverado took last year's game and raised it to a whole new level. It's brand new from hood to hitch, and it's more capable than any of its predecessors - by a long shot. With a new trio of V6 and V8 EcoTec3 engines, a quieter, more refined cab, and revised steering, suspension and braking systems, the 2014 Chevy Silverado was built for shoppers in Kansas City. Oh, and did I mention that the base price for all 1500 configurations will carry over from 2013?

For the 2014 model, the pros at Car and Driver say the new Silverado is "hard-working luxury." They also note that, "Its engines are strong, its chassis is stout, and its cabin is whisper quiet." Here's what the folks at AutoTrader had to say: "We're just going to say this right up front: The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado is the best full-size truck. Take the all-new Silverado's crossover-like ride and handling, combine it with an almost elegant interior, add Chevy's MyLink suite of in-car tech and apps, while beefing up its real-world truck ability, and the Silverado comes out on top."

So there you have it folks, the Chevy Silverado reviews are in on the new model, and it's nothing short of miracle. Don't take our word for it: get down to Van Chevrolet in Kansas City and check it out for yourself.
