Chevrolet's history features a wide array of highly capable pickups. The Silverado EV ZR2 concept recently passed through the grueling Mint 400 off-road race. This all-electric racer successfully handled the 73-mile course, affirming its rugged nature. Chevrolet also entered the gas-powered Silverado ZR2 and Colorado ZR2 in the event.
Staggering Power
With its three-motor setup, the Silverado EV ZR2 puts out roughly 1,100 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque. Drivers experience thrilling acceleration and substantial pull strength. At the conclusion of the Mint 400, the EV ZR2 still maintained 40 percent of its battery.
Factory Off-Road Features
The Silverado EV ZR2 concept comes with specialized off-road elements. Its Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers allow for over 13 inches of travel front and rear, and locking differentials enhance traction. Additional rugged parts include underbody shielding, 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud Terrain tires, and a raised suspension for superior ground clearance.
2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss Debuts
Later this summer, Chevrolet will introduce the Silverado EV Trail Boss. This off-road-focused truck arrives with a factory lift, red tow hooks, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and Terrain Mode, allowing for emission-free exploration.
