The Corvette ZR1X and ZR1 are now the Fastest Cars from an American Manufacturer at Nürburgring Nordschleife Circuit

The Chevrolet Corvette remains a standout in the high-performance segment. Track tests have put the Corvette ZR1X and ZR1 at the top as the fastest cars built by an American manufacturer, demonstrating Chevy's engineering capabilities on the world stage.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Even with a non-professional racecar driver behind the wheel, the Corvette ZR1 achieved a 6:50.763 lap at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. It's powered by a 5.5L, twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 rated at 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque.

The new Corvette ZR1 produces exhilarating acceleration and reaches a top speed of 233 mph while offering precise handling. An available ZTK Performance Package helps drivers achieve better lap times and includes several truck-focused upgrades, such as Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires and a dedicated aero kit. Despite its track-ready nature, the ZR1 still offers comfortable street manners, featuring standard amenities such as a Bose premium sound system, a Rear Camera Mirror, and a high-resolution infotainment screen with Google Built-In.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X

The Corvette ZR1X pushes performance even further. Using the same engine with an added electric front-drive unit, output climbs to 1,250 horsepower. The ZR1X logged a 6:49.275 lap at the Nürburgring. Its cutting-edge eAWD system monitors tire conditions to maximize traction.
