What's New for the 2020 Chevy Silverado?

Bigger cabins filled with luxury make full-size pickups top competitors with sedans and SUVs in the vehicle market. Unlike their rivals, though, pickups like the 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500, and 3500 have a cargo box offering far more carrying capacity than a sedan trunk can muster with no restricting roof like an SUV. As you'll see here, the Silverado advantages don't end with this feature.

How Has Chevy Expanded its Silverado Truck Lineup?

There are 8 Silverado models, the WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country, and one is bound to have what you need whether it is the Silverado 1500, 2500, or 3500. WT stands for Work Truck, and it's the only version with a single-row cab. It also offers 6-speaker sound with the Crew cab option, and all cab types include a 7-inch touchscreen, air conditioning, a 12-volt outlet, and a USB port. The Custom edition replaces vinyl trim with cloth, puts carpeting on the floors, and gives windows and locks power.

The Custom Trail Boss takes the Custom trim and raises the suspension 2 inches for easy off-roading. LT buyers receive an 8-inch touchscreen and an extra USB port. The RST model focuses on the exterior with LED headlights, taillights, and fog lights along with an EZ Lift assisted tailgate. The LT Trail Boss adds off-road enhancements to the LT trim. The LTZ goes up a notch by giving leather-clad front seats a choice of 10 automated positions, making climate control dual-zone, and putting a 120-volt outlet in the cargo box. Ultimate enjoyment in the High Country edition comes from a Bose 7-speaker audio system.

Both mileage and brawn get boosted by a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 that reaches 310 horsepower. Operating with 8-speed automatic transmission, it offers 20 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.
