2021 Chevrolet Camaro

What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Camaro?

Powerful, speedy, and athletic, the Chevrolet Camaro continues to be one of the muscle cars of the '60s that evolved into a technologically advanced machine of an ultra-competitive 21st century. For 2021, the Camaro, now in its sixth generation of production, gets wireless smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.

What Are the Chevrolet Camaro Trims & Features?

The 2021 Chevrolet Camaro is available in 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1 models. The 1LS is designed as a coupe, while the other seven variants offer coupe and convertible body styles. Each body style has two doors.

A keyless entry-and-start system makes access and engine starting very convenient. Inside the cabin is a pair of cloth-trimmed rows to accommodate up to four people, with eight-way power adjustability on the driver's seat. The 7-inch touchscreen integrates-in addition to the previously mentioned Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-a Wi-Fi hotspot for 4G LTE Internet access, a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system, voice recognition, Bluetooth hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, and two USB ports for connecting mobile devices.

Going up a notch to the 1LT adds a one-year SiriusXM All Access trial subscription and six-way power on the front passenger seat. The 2LT gains leather seats (in place of cloth-trimmed ones), front-seat heating and ventilation, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system. The 3LT replaces the 7-inch touchscreen with a larger, 8-inch one. It's also at the 3LT trim level where Chevrolet introduces a Bose stereo system: with nine speakers on the coupe model and seven speakers on the convertible model. The 2SS gains steering-wheel heating. Exclusive to the ZL1 are features that literally and figuratively denote optimal performance, such as RECARO sports seats, a suede-wrapped steering wheel, sport pedals, driver-seat memory, and wireless device charging.

Raw Power and Stellar Performance

The base engine on the 2021 Camaro is a turbocharged 275 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The LT1, 1SS, and 2SS go with the touted 455 horsepower 6.2-liter V8, and the top-of-the-line ZL1 has a supercharged version with 650 horsepower.

Camaro Safety at the Forefront

A rearview mirror provides driver assistance, and six airbags are present to cushion and restrain occupants during a crash. Substantial driver assistance is added on the 3LT and the 2SS, which gain blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, a rearview mirror camera, forward collision warning, and a head-up display, and a rearview mirror camera that allows you to get a less obstructed view behind the vehicle.
