2022 Chevrolet Bolt

What's New For the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt?

The Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle has several changes for the 2022 model year. The Chevrolet Bolt now comes in two variants: the original Bolt EV and a new model called the Bolt EUV. The two vehicles share many similar features, including a powertrain, various customization options, many of the same driver-assistance and safety features, and interior technology. The Bolt EUV is a little longer and bigger overall than the Bolt EV, and it gets about 250 miles of all-electric range. The Bolt EV has a refreshed interior and exterior in 2022, and it gets more updated technology and more standard safety equipment. Both models can seat five.

The Chevy Bolt Has Many Features Across Several Trims

The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV comes in three trim levels. Two trim levels are available for the Bolt EV. The base Bolt EUV trim is the LT. This trim features soft-touch materials in an innovative cabin, a healthy amount of new tech features, including a 10.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A WiFi hotspot is also available. You get leather seats on the second or Premier trim level, which also receives an 8-way driver's seat. The top trim level, called the Launch Edition, adds a panoramic sunroof as well. Ventilated seats are optional. The base trim in the Bolt EV is the 1LT. It comes with LED headlights for a bold look, and it also has a 10.2-inch display, along with a digital display cluster. Heated seats and leather upholstery come with the second trim level, 2LT, on the regular Bolt EV.

Raw Power and Stellar Performance

One powerplant makes both Chevy Bolt models move. It's a single electric motor and a separate battery stored underneath the floor to maximize cargo space and power. Both vehicles get up to 200 HP and  266 LB-FT in torque. Nearly every drop of energy is used to power the Bolt thanks to the one-pedal driving feature, where energy is captured using the same pedal to speed up and slow down.

Which Safety Features Are Available on the 2022 Bolt?

Some of the main safety features you'll find in the new Bolt include automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assist to reduce the risk of collisions. The lane-departure warning also prevents drivers from straying into another accident. Adaptive cruise control comes standard and is designed to make you drive a safe distance behind other motorists to avoid a collision if they slam on their brakes.
