What's New for the 2022 Chevy Equinox?

For the 2022 model year, the Chevy Equinox mostly gets aesthetic modifications, but it also has some notable interior upgrades across all four trims. The Equinox is back this year with some mild changes to its front and back ends. The Equinox has revamped LED headlights and new daytime running lights for premium safety and additional outward visibility. Inside, the 2022 Equinox now upgrades to wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional safety technology is now included in the Equinox as well, and you'll get a different touchscreen with the higher-end trims. More color choices are now offered inside and out as well.

2022 Equinox Trims & Features

The trim lineup for the 2022 Equinox contains four trims. The Equinox family starts with the L, which is equipped with wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen. The L seats five people, and it gets nearly 64 cubic feet of storage capacity. The base trim is equipped with two 12V power outlets, including one in the front and one in the cargo area. Higher-end trim levels also add a 120V power outlet. The LS, which is the second Equinox trim, gets a six-speaker audio system and a 4G WiFi hotspot. This trim level also has premium floor mats and privacy glass. If you want even more standard features, consider going with the third trim, which is the LT. The LT adds satellite radio to its audio system. You can also get a power-operated rear liftgate, remote engine start, and dual-zone climate control. A leather steering wheel is another highlight of the LT trim level. These features are all standard on the top Premier trim, which has some unique styling accents in 2022, including larger and more distinctive wheels. The Premier also has interior cabin lighting and a wireless charging pad.

2022 Chevy Equinox Horsepower

The 2022 Chevrolet Equinox is powered by a gasoline turbo engine with a 1.5L displacement. The Equinox has the front-wheel drive as its standard drivetrain, but all-wheel drive is optional for all trim levels except the base if you want more traction when driving on wet or snow-covered roads. The Equinox has an automatic transmission.

All trims come standard with Chevy Safety Assist, which is a comprehensive package of advanced safety aids. Standard features in this package include automatic emergency braking, forward collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, and a backup camera. Rear cross-traffic alert is optional.
