Buyers of the 2027 Suburban have three engine options. The standard 5.3-liter V8 engine produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. A 6.2-liter V8 engine is available, delivering 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. A capable and efficient Duramax turbo-diesel engine is also available. A 10-speed automatic transmission is paired with every engine option. While rear-wheel drive is standard on most trims, four-wheel drive is available.
