Specs at a Glance
The Chevrolet Tahoe has always stood out among large SUVs, but it does so even more in 2021 with a longer, wider frame and a general refresh from the outside in. The Tahoe is one of the largest and most versatile SUVs on the road, with the ability to hold up to nine people. The Chevy Tahoe has a refreshed front end for all trim levels in 2021, while the High Country, which is the top trim level, gets its own set of special exterior features. The Tahoe is still produced in the same trim lineup for 2021, with a well-equipped base trim available up through the High Country. While you'll find many great new features on the LS, including the Tahoe's new 10-inch infotainment system, the High Country gets more safety amenities, technology, and styling accents.
Performance
A total of three engines are available for the Chevy Tahoe in 2021, including two for the LS and a separate standard engine on the High Country. The LS trim and High Country are both powered by V8 engines. The base model's engine is a 5.3L gasoline-based engine with a top power output of 355 HP. With this engine, the Tahoe is capable of 383 LB-FT in maximal torque. The High Country gets a separate standard engine with a higher power rating of 420 HP. This engine, and the diesel available for both trim levels, produce 460 LB-FT in maximum torque. The diesel, which is a 3.0L V6, is available for either vehicle. Both cars have an automatic transmission with ten speeds, and they are offered with four-wheel drive.
Appearance
You'll get a stylish and durable Tahoe in 2021, regardless of whether you opt for the LS or the High Country. Both trims sport the Tahoe's bold new front-end design with chrome accents around the grille. The base trim provides you with 18-inch wheels, while 22-inch wheels come with the top trim level. Roof rails are standard, along with a chrome roof-mounted luggage rack. The High Country gets a signature front grille and all-season tires.
Features
The LS trim level is now equipped with a 10.2-inch user-friendly infotainment system. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also included. The base trim holds up to seven people, while you can seat nine occupants in the top High Country. The High Country also has a Bose sound system with ten speakers, nine cameras for safety, and leather upholstery.
